Planet Trash was established in March 2007 out of a desire to make a positive contribution to the planet's environment.
Having been involved in the recycling industry for the past 18 years, we felt it was about time consumers were presented with an opportunity to purchase goods made from recycled materials*, and in doing so contribute to preserving the world's precious natural resources.
Planet Trash only offers products made from recycled materials. Our range may also have the benefit of being ethically produced and fairly traded, but if it's not made from recycled materials, it doesn't get into our shop!
One of our mottos is “opening people's eyes to the beauty reborn from the planet”, and thus we strive to bring our customers beautiful products that fit comfortably into their homes without the need to compromise on quality just because its made from recycled materials.
Memorably packaged, we also aim to deliver the products our customers purchase to a high standard with the minimum impact on the environment.
Finally we seek to spread the “buy recycled” and “recycling” message at all times and in everything we do.
We know that we can't and won't change people's attitudes and behaviours overnight, but hope that Planet Trash will provide some degree of leadership on environmental issues within the retail sector.
Through Planet Trash we hope we have given you the opportunity to “be the change you want to see in the world”!

*We thought you might like to know what is our definition of ‘recycled', so here it is!
Recycled is a term used to describe material that has been separated from the waste stream, reprocessed into a new product (often taking the place of virgin material), and then bought back by the consumer as new items. Recycled materials can be derived from pre-consumer waste (materials used in manufacturing) or post-consumer waste (materials discarded by the consumer).
